Thursday 12th December

Hello lovely Morris Minors!
Thanks to all who came to sing yesterday...
After an exhausting 'robin hood' warm up (even Santa Claus snuck in there), we got down to some serious singing.
We began with a round from Cameroon, which I learnt at a school workshop this week. You can hear it here:

In case you haven't noticed :-) Christmas is coming. We recapped my version of I Saw Three Ships in good sea shanty style. This works well with or without harmony, and you can probably think of many ways to make it personal for your baby at home.

And finally, what would be more approprate as a Morris Minors Christmas song than Mary Had a Baby - this is a simplified version of one I learnt at a workshop with amazing gospel singer Ken Burton a good while ago.

As usual, we finished our session with some calm numbers, though the babies were all especially chilled yesterday! It was lovely to sing through Belle Mama, Ooh La La Lay and Fly like an Eagle.
Thanks again.
One more session before the Christmas break - see you there.
Michelle x
